The primary objective of the proposed solution is to enhance ClickDeck, Exolux's online deck design and quoting calculator, making it more useful and easier to use for both direct customers and resellers. Customers can build fully custom deck layouts and receive automatically generated, colour-coded build plans for framing and decking, while resellers can sell ClickDeck products directly and manage their own decking options and customer quotes. Exolux can now offer Timber and Composite decking alongside its core aluminium ClickDeck frame system. Dotsquares' engineering team built this phase of the platform using Claude Code, Anthropic's AI-powered development tool, to accelerate delivery of the complex calculation and design logic involved.

Name: Exolux Pty Ltd

ClickDeck's core value is generating an accurate structural frame and materials list from a customer's design inputs, spanning joist/bearer spans, fascia dropper counts, corner bracket quantities, and pedestal selection across multiple deck height ranges and profile systems. Translating Exolux's reference spreadsheet logic into a reliable, user-facing calculator required precise, engineering-accurate implementation with little room for error.
Resellers could not previously sell ClickDeck products directly or offer their own decking surface options to their customers, limiting Exolux's ability to scale distribution through its reseller network.
The existing calculator only supported Exolux's aluminium ClickDeck frame system, preventing the business from offering Timber and Composite decking through the same platform and workflow.
With a defined 3–3.5 month delivery target and a functionally dense scope spanning a redesigned customer calculator, reseller tooling, and an expanded admin panel, the engineering team needed to move quickly without sacrificing calculation accuracy or code quality.
Rebuilt the customer-facing design workflow into a structured, step-by-step process, deck dimensions, material selection, surface design, frame layout, stair kit configuration, and frame supply options, supported by a live visual editor with free-form drawing, cutouts, slope handling, and shape editing tools.
Enabled resellers to upload and customize their own decking surface options, manage customer quotes independently, and sell ClickDeck products directly, backed by a dedicated Reseller Buy Price configuration in the admin panel.
Extended the platform to support Timber and Composite decking alongside the original aluminium ClickDeck system, with material-specific joist spacing, board dimensions, and spacing logic.
Delivered an enhanced admin panel giving Exolux control over up to 10 individual pricing profiles, region-based delivery cost rules, framing and decking pricing, and reseller/user account management, all backed by structured span and profile configuration across ClickDeck's 28/55/110 Profile systems and the Elevated System.
To meet Exolux's delivery timeline while implementing precise, formula-driven engineering logic, Dotsquares' development team used a licensed Claude account and Claude Code, Anthropic's agentic coding tool, throughout the build. Claude Code was used to:
This helped the team deliver a functionally dense, calculation-heavy platform within Exolux's target timeline.

Delivered the enhanced platform within Exolux's estimated 3–3.5 month delivery window, built with Claude Code as a core part of the engineering process.
