Brandon - Modern Construction Operations Management Solution
The primary objective of the proposed solution is to develop Brandon, a construction management application that streamlines communication and project coordination between Builders, Clients, and Workers through a centralized digital platform. Builders will be able to manage projects, assign tasks, and track construction progress, while Clients can review detailed project updates, monitor timelines, and access project information through secure web links. Workers will have dedicated login access to receive tasks, update work status, and coordinate with project teams efficiently.

The Challenge
- Deep Linking Issue for Different User Roles
The application supports three different user roles, and standard deep linking was not working reliably across all user flows and navigation structures. This created issues in redirection, invitation acceptance, and seamless in-app navigation. - Worker Time Log Management Issue
Workers occasionally forgot to log out after completing their shifts. This caused inaccuracies in attendance tracking and created difficulties in calculating correct hourly payments for workers. - Dynamic Hourly Rate Calculation for Workers
During worker onboarding, the hourly charges for workers were unknown because each worker had different expertise levels and pricing structures. This created challenges in calculating labor costs and project expenses.
The Solution
- Multi-Role Deep Linking Solution
Implemented Firebase Dynamic Links to manage deep linking more efficiently across all platforms and user roles. This provided reliable navigation, improved user onboarding, and ensured seamless redirection even when the application was not installed on the device. - Automated Worker Shift & Time Log Management Solution
Implemented an automated shift scheduler mechanism. If a worker forgets to log out, the system automatically closes the shift based on predefined shift timings and scheduler rules. This improved payroll accuracy and reduced manual intervention from administrators. - Dynamic Worker Hourly Rate Management Solution
Added a dedicated hourly rate field in the worker invitation/onboarding form. Builders can now define worker charges at the time of sending the invitation based on the worker’s skills, expertise, and experience. This enabled accurate cost estimation, transparent payment management, and streamlined workforce allocation.
