A custom-built AI agent designed for Lot21 to streamline editorial workflows, content intelligence, and structured content updates. Lottie helps editorial teams generate source-backed summaries, update recommendations, and curated drafts while maintaining full human approval. The platform creates a scalable foundation for future autonomous content and image generation aligned with Lot21’s editorial standards and website design.

Lot21 is a digital platform focused on empowering the global design community to address climate change. It curates projects, policies, research, and educational resources that make complex climate information accessible and actionable for designers, educators, and institutions. As climate-related knowledge evolves rapidly, Lot21 requires its content ecosystem to remain current, credible, and consistent in tone while preserving editorial oversight and quality control.

Lot21 manages a growing library of editorial content across multiple sections including Understanding, Projects, Resources, Policies, and Newsletters. Maintaining consistency, reviewing updates, and validating information manually was becoming increasingly time-intensive. The team needed a solution that could support content scale without introducing tone drift or reducing editorial control. They also required a future-ready foundation capable of supporting both content and visual updates as the platform expanded.
We designed and developed Lottie, a custom AI agent trained on Lot21’s existing website content, archives, and editorial structure. Using a Retrieval-Augmented Generation framework, the platform analyses existing pages, retrieves relevant source material from a semantic vector database, and generates structured summaries, update recommendations, and draft content aligned with Lot21’s established tone and messaging.
A custom editorial dashboard was developed to provide a side-by-side review environment where editors can compare live content with AI-generated suggestions before approving, rejecting, or refining updates. This approval-led workflow ensures transparency, accuracy, and continuous improvement through editorial feedback loops.
The solution was securely integrated with WordPress, enabling efficient content management while maintaining governance. The architecture was also designed with clear upgrade paths for Phase 2, where Lottie will support autonomous content generation, image creation, and layout-aligned updates across the website.

Lottie has significantly improved how Lot21 manages and evolves its content ecosystem. Editorial teams now receive structured, source-backed recommendations instead of raw drafts, reducing review effort while preserving quality and control. The platform improves consistency across content updates, accelerates editorial workflows, and creates a scalable AI foundation for future autonomous content and image intelligence. Most importantly, Lot21 now has a future-ready system that supports growth while remaining aligned with its mission-driven voice.
