How Dotsquares Celebrated Women's Day, Zumba, Self-Defence, and a Room Full of Energy

Some Women's Day events hand out flowers and call it a day. This was not that.

On 8 March, the Dotsquares Jaipur office marked International Women's Day with something that actually meant something: a back-to-back session of Zumba and self-defence training, led by two brilliant instructors, for the women of the team.

The Session

The afternoon kicked off with Yogesh Navlani leading the Zumba session, high energy, genuinely fun, and the kind of workout that does not feel like one until the next morning. The room was loud, the movement was constant, and by the end of it, nobody was standing still.

Then came Garima Rawat with the self-defence segment. Practical techniques, real scenarios, and the kind of skills that stay with you well after the session ends. Not intimidating, empowering. There is a difference, and Garima made sure the room felt it.

Why This Combination Made Sense

Zumba and self-defence are not an obvious pairing on paper. In practice, they work surprisingly well together. One builds physical confidence through movement and rhythm. The other builds it through awareness and capability. Both leave you feeling like you can handle more than you thought you could an hour earlier.

For Women's Day specifically, that felt right. Not just a celebration, but something that gave the day a point.

What the Day Was Really About

Dotsquares has always taken its team culture seriously, and events like this are part of what that looks like in practice. Not a formal programme, not a check-the-box occasion. Just a well-planned afternoon that the women of the team actually enjoyed and came away from feeling good.

International Women's Day is a moment to recognise. Dotsquares chose to mark it with movement, skill, and a lot of energy, which felt entirely on brand.
