Some evenings just stick with you.
Last week, the Dotsquares team attended the Computing AI & Software Development Awards 2026, and we came home with something we're genuinely proud of. We were named Highly Commended for AI & Security, recognised for our work in building AI and ML solutions that don't just perform well, but are built with security at their core.
Honestly? It felt good. But not just because of the award itself.
At present, many companies use the term "AI-powered" to market their products without developing real technological innovation. The technology develops rapidly while people create intense excitement about it, which makes it simple for others to become involved with it.
But at Dotsquares, we've always believed that building intelligent systems without thinking about security is like building a house without a foundation. Looks fine from the outside, until it doesn't.
This award is a validation of that belief. It says that the industry is starting to ask harder questions about how AI is built, not just what it can do. And that's a conversation we've been ready for for a long time.
Here's something worth thinking about: as AI and ML systems become more embedded in business operations, they also become bigger targets.
Sensitive data flowing through models. Automated decisions with real consequences. Integrations touching critical business infrastructure. The attack surface isn't shrinking, it's growing.
That's exactly why our approach to AI/ML development has always had security baked in from the start, not added as an afterthought. Whether it's how we handle data pipelines, how we structure model access, or how we think about cybersecurity at the architecture level, it's all deliberate.
Getting recognised for that approach means we're doing something right.
If you're a business exploring AI solutions, this recognition should matter to you, because it's essentially the industry saying: these people take the responsible part of responsible AI seriously.
When you work with Dotsquares, you're not just getting a team that can build smart systems. You're getting a team that asks the uncomfortable questions upfront, about data handling, about access controls, about what happens when something goes wrong.
That's the kind of partner you want when the stakes are real.
Awards are nice. They're a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the work the team has put in. And this one genuinely reflects months of effort from some incredibly talented people across our AI, ML, and security practices.
But we're not hanging the trophy on the wall and calling it a day.
If anything, this pushes us to keep going, to keep building solutions that are smarter, safer, and more impactful for the businesses we work with.
So thank you, Computing Awards. And thank you to every client who trusted us with their most complex challenges.
The best is still ahead.
