What was the scope of the project involved?
To produce a web-based multi user dashboard for importation of orders from website and to also enter direct phone orders of Christmas trees to facilitate improved communication with customers, general project management, essential reports and delivery logistics.
How did Dotsquares meet your requirements?
Although the project took a little longer than originally anticipated I now have what I required. This will help me greatly with the logistics of a busy website over a very concentrated period of time. The Project Manger in India has been extremely helpful to provide the support I needed and has worked very hard with his team of developers to produce the end product
What do you value about Dotsquares?
The cost of using Dotsquares has of course been far less per day than the corresponding cost of using UK developers which was the initial attraction. It may be that the time taken to complete the project could have been a little shorter in the UK, however I believe that my overall costs would still have been less with Dotsquares. What has been very pleasing has been the dedication which my Project Manager has given to this project with excellent support and fast response times as we have developed the project together over its timescale.

N/A for this feedback I thought I would just let you know my thoughts about DSProjects Project Management Tool. I have been using Dotsquares for over 3 years now and the one Achiles heel for the workflow which causes me no end of trouble is DSProjects Project Management Tool. This is clunky and really not fit for purpose for a number of reasons including: Invoices - You cannot view old invoices, which is a major issue. This means that I have to trawl through PayPal account or emails to find the information. Such a waste of time. Tasks - This is really too basic and because of this I have to use external tools alongside this thus updating the same things in multiple places. It would be great if you could integrate this with existing task list managers and bug trackers like Bugdigger but the system is not really set up to work at this level. I would also like to be able to set priority flags. I know you can re-order tasks by drag and drop but some developers seem not to take this into account when carrying out tasks. Messages - really simple problem that would be easy to fix - you can't create a new message on the Messages tab! This is small problem but causes annoyance every time I need to write a message (and unfortunately I have to use DSProjects message system when including attachments over a certain size) All other elements of DSProjects are fine but the above three parts constitute a large proportion of my workflow and get in the way of things going smoothly. I can imagine this system was good 6 or 7 years ago but is in danger of being left behind when clients need closer integration with other readily-available tools. Just thought I would let you know.
