Dotsquares said that it will achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, marking a major milestone in the company's continuous environmental, social, and governance (ESG) drive to become a more sustainable.
"As a global company, we recognise our duty to use our expertise and resources to aid in the fight against climate change. Dotsquares has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2030, which I am pleased to announce. We'll also use our cloud, IoT, and AI skills to assist our global clients in achieving their sustainability goals, reducing their carbon footprints, and improving their competitiveness."
Through our goal, we will strengthen the demand for renewable energy and energy-efficient technology.Dotsquares net-zero goal calls for a 50 percent reduction in emissions from the company's worldwide operations and supply chain by 2030, and a 90 percent reduction by 2040. The remaining emissions will be negated with carbon offsets.
Ongoing investments in renewable energy : Dotsquares wants to extend its usage of onsite solar energy and establish additional power purchase agreements with clean energy companies, building on its early success in India, where renewable energy has provided over a quarter of Dotsquares energy since 2020.Rajasthan State Electricity Board has given one of our buildings in Jaipur an A+ rating (RSEB). A+ rated buildings achieve an energy efficiency rating of 80 or higher out of 100, which indicates they use less energy and help you save money on your energy bills and also reduce CO2 emissions.
Increasing energy efficiency : Dotsquares will invest in new energy-efficient equipment and technology across its owned offices and data centres across the world over the course of the goal's lifespan. Dotsquares increased energy efficiency in multiple offices in India in 2019 and 2020 by replacing old traditional power supply systems with modular systems, upgrading traditional lighting with energy-efficient LED fittings, and installing cooling systems.
Dotsquares is developing and deploying solutions that enable its global client base to double down on reducing carbon footprints, waste, and sustainable product development by leveraging technology advancements in AI, data and analytics, cloud, and IoT, in addition to accelerating its net-zero agenda.
Dotsquares new development centre building is really taking shape with 3 floors above ground and two basement floors completed. As you would expect the building, like our Albourne offices in the UK, are gold rated to take into account a minimal carbon footprint. Special attention has been taken on recycling, waste management, energy conservation and renewable sources as these are part of our bigger sustainability goals for the environment.
As part of our continuing philanthropic efforts members of our Salesforce & Zoho Teams across the organisation have been distributing warm clothes to those less fortunate than ourselves. These really reinforce our corporate values and allow us to give something back. A successful afternoon saw all clothes distributed and many happy smiling faces.
Leadership through the Pandemic has been critical, and Bankim has led his organisation through a period of growth and consolidation. This has been achieved through motivating all staff in both work and more pastoral settings to keep up engagement whilst people are not face to face during lockdowns. Bankim & his wife Shilpi have been supporting their three daughters to produce and distribute “Bags of Kindness” to homeless and those less fortunate. A great initiative that has gained significant traction and international recognition https://www.bagofkindness.co.uk/. This has been supplemented by our recent efforts alongside Salesforce to bring a positive influence to our local communities. We held events both in India and the UK, and plans are to make this a more regular occurrence.
As part of our commitments for our Salesforce Partner Programme, our Salesforce Developers have been working within their community to tidy up local highways and plant some trees. Like Salesforce we are active participants in our communities and are always striving to make a difference where we can. Other recent events have included amongst others, trips to our local Mother Theresa centre to provide care and respite for the residents there. Like any company with values like our own, we need to live them as well as promote them
What a fantastic way to support the community this morning by delivering happiness to those less fortunate. Thanks to the team at Feeding India for allowing us to take part in this initiative of HAPPY FRIDGE, and tackle hunger and food wastage in Jaipur!
Also thanks to Red FM for broadcasting the event, and getting the message out there to others.
